It is always a good time to use our eco plate. But a major Hari Raya event for thousands, featuring a variety of food, is arguably one of the best times to use disposable dinnerware.

Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) goes green for its UTP Raya 2023 celebration. The grand event took place at Chancellor Plaza on the 6th of May. The university handed over cash donations, contributed by UTP staff, to 60 underprivileged and 140 orphans from various locations surrounding the establishment. A whopping 1700 guests attended the Iftar, which includes UTP Vice Chancellor Professor Ts Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, UTP Executive Management Committee members, representatives from Perak government departments, local authorities, UTP staff and students. In such an event featuring a diverse crowd, it sets the right image to go plastic-free.

Both adults and youngsters would be familiar with the importance of opting for eco packaging over plastic. Not forgetting the low recycling rate in Malaysia, contributes to more plastic waste. They bare in mind that It is also healthier to serve hot food on biodegradable party plates.
