We need a proper dinner plate that are able to withstand the heavy of food and ease of carrying. Disposable plates are designed to be thrown away after use. They are typically made from special paper that is reinforced with plastic layers to make them leak proof. What if the need for plastic is nullified and the thickness of the plate is increased? Sounds satisfying correct? Wait, how about manufacturing the plate with a biodegradable raw material like paddy straw? And that’s our biodegradable plates.

The photo above shows our latest two functionality tests. Under product development itself, we have envisioned the types of meals that this plate should support. Firstly, we ladled gravy onto the eco friendly plates and allowed it to rest for 30 minutes. Nevertheless, we do advise customers that these plates are not suitable for soup or gravy on its own, rather ideal with the presence of rice or noodles. This test was to check out the plate being leak proof for the intended time. The test was a success.

The second test on the biodegradable plate replicates a standard meal. Despite the presence of several sides and thick gravy, the plate remains sturdy and the rim contains the sauce well. Not forgetting that you are not consuming any fractions of plastic as this plate has zero plastic on it. While it’s evident to dub them as the best disposable plates based on its sustainability, never discount their performance too.
