There are numerous disposable plates, and if you seek ones that are biodegradable and presentable, you are at the right place.

No matter how you like your buffet line to be – beamed with candles, a separate coffee table or a full Malaysian menu – there’s definitely a need for disposable plates. Yes, the very last thing that comes to mind once you thought you have everything ticked. Nevertheless, choosing disposable dinnerware is no rocket science. Yet if you happen to get the wrong one, it could turn out to be worse than a lab disaster.
Fret not, we have compiled images from catering events for quick reference.
The Right Disposable Plates Enhance the Dining Experience

For us, a catering buffet is the main star of any event. It starts off with our biodegradable plates, usually placed in a row, sometimes, aesthetically arranged. I often watch, mesmerise and admire diners habitually grab a plate and walk along the line. More often, they give second looks at the colour of the dinner plate, recognising its eco-friendliness. Since these eco plates are made from rice husk, just like our takeaway lunch box, they have a brown finish. Fingers run over the surface, some thump the plate over their palm to test its firmness, while the rest, fill the dinnerware up with dishes. Single-handedly holding the rim of the disposable plate, with a prefix in mind that the sturdiness will get the job done. Wooden forks and spoons often complete the buffet spread, wrapping up an eco friendly package.
Biodegradable Plates are Gaining Momentum Everywhere

It will be a massive test of willpower to return to plastic plates after using eco plates. The first thing that comes to mind is the harmful effects of plastic, particularly when serving hot dishes. But the real deal is the quality itself. Over the years, we have been receiving customers largely through word-of-mouth. To our surprise, these eco plates are being dubbed as plates for weddings. Serving up to 6 dishes for a person, a temple event noticed the significance of our 10 inch plate too. Not forgetting an entire Hari Raya Open House in Langkawi with our small and large biodegradable plates. Click here to read about the event that had thousands of guests.

Party Plates For Assorted Dishes

For most catering events, you may have to walk the length and breadth of the space. And yes, you can stroll with a plate in hand, before heading to your table. As aforementioned, the ease of grabbing the disposable plate with a single hand is essential. The plate does not tilt towards one side or deforms with hot food. Many catering includes action stalls such as Char Koey Teow and Pasembur. The former is greasy and hot off the wok, while the latter adds a great amount of heft onto the dinnerware. With an approximate oil resistance of 2 hours, the bio plates score a home run with instant food too. Nevertheless, we also made a test video of the plate with a saucy dish.

A catering service is incomplete with juices and cordials, which leads you to our 6oz paper cups. As you can see from the image above, the disposable cups sit between warm coffee and orange cordial containers. If you ever doubt which biodegradable plates would suit you, it comes down to the number of dishes. Usually, the best-selling plate is the 9 inch bio plate. For a generous menu, the larger plate would be ideal.
