Yes, it’s that day of the week that you want to make the most of. Penang has attractions for all ages and one not to be overlooked is Hin Bus Depot. Every Sunday, numerous cafes, makeshift stalls and juice bars call this former bus depot as home.
We timed our visit for brunch and was impressed by the variety of food and drinks. From vibrant colours of cold-pressed fruit juices to freshly brewed coffee, sizzling noodles to pastries and cookies, we have more tasty excuses to ignore our diet plans. Not forgetting some out-of-the-box offerings like Vietnamese Artichoke Tea and 3D Jelly Cakes.
Reduce Plastic with Eco Friendly Products
Since the sun showed no mercy, we booted with a cup of fresh lemonade from Gadis Lemonade, followed by Mama Goose Cabin’s chicken dumplings and Juyo’s cold-pressed pineapple apple juice. Not only the flavours were exciting but the eco friendly products too. To name a few, Shasha from Gadis Lemonade serves her refreshing drink with our 16oz paper cup and paper straws, while Juyo packs their juices in glass bottles and offers a refund once the bottle is returned. User-friendly, eye-catching and eco-consciousness, you have the whole trifecta.
Common paper cup picks for events: 6oz paper cup, 16oz paper cup and 22oz paper cup.

There is never a dull moment if you love arts and crafts too. The colours and creativity on offer will blow your mind. Be it the handmade artistic blocks from Paige Wanji or Dérfla Floral Design’s fresh-cut and dried flowers, ceramics pots or lifestyle accessories, everything is worth checking out. The best part, the items don’t weigh heavy on the wallet too.
Use Disposable Trays at Food Fairs
Heap Seng at 29 serves their signature fresh oysters on our biodegradable tray. The disposable tray gets a layer of ice cubes before a row of oysters. These eco friendly products are easy to carry along the party space.

Kids unshackle themselves from smartphones as arts and crafts got their attention. The little ones get to draw on chalkboards, play among each other in the communal space and figure out the messages behind the wall murals.
We had a pleasant time at Hin Market and encourage you to bookmark this spot on your Penang to-do list.
