One of our most asked questions by those running restaurants and cafes are, “What type of disposable packaging do we need?” “Where do we start?” Particularly for young start-up companies, it’s a tough call.
It may appear to be quite subjective as each restaurant has its own extensive list of dishes, however, we do understand that there’s a packaging flow that can be used as a template. Besides our years of experience in supplying disposable packaging to a wide range of customers, we, ourselves, are huge foodies too. Often engaging in food hunts across Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Johor Bahru.
Here’s a common list to help you decide what you need:
Tip: Running a cafe takes a big investment in both time and money, so it’s essential to decide upfront how you’re going to serve your customers. To minimise workload and offer quicker service, some restaurants opt to use disposable packaging for dine-in customers too, while others only stick to takeaways. Make a choice first.
Using biodegradable plates for dine-in may not come to one’s mind immediately. Picture this: a strong quality biodegradable plate made from paddy straw that could withstand oily and gravy food for approximately 3 to 4 hours. That’s our 9” and 10” biodegradable plates. For ordinary servings, the 9” bio plate is ideal but for dishes such as big breakfast, western food set and more, our 10” bio plate is a wiser pick. Customers would also appreciate your choice of going green.
Biodegradable Lunch Box
This is our best-selling product. Similar to our 9” and 10” biodegradable plates, this lunch box is made from paddy straw and holds a strong quality. From rice dishes to western food, tauhu bergedil to fried noodles and many more, it’s an ideal fit.
Paper Lunch Box
Another eco-friendly favourite. We have two types of paper lunch box – white and brown, both without any PE coating layers. The brown lunch box comes in better quality, so feel free to load up rice with gravies, deep-fried food and more. The white ones are commonly used to serve fried noodles, churros, nasi lemak and more. Feel free to place a sticker or stamp your logo on top, and you’re done with branding.
Paper Burger Box
As per the name, burgers are the first choices. Nevertheless, the burger box also serves as a cost-friendly option to serve smaller portions such as takoyaki, cheesy wedges, nasi lemak, noodles and more.
Biodegradable and Paper Bowls
Biodegradable Snack Plate
Also known as a cake plate, the 6” biodegradable plate is a constant order among cafes and cake houses. Widely used to serve items of similar sizes such as puffs and pastries. The plate is made from sugarcane and comes in white colour.
If you have set up a resort-like cafe or a nature-themed hideout, our wooden fork, spoon and knife are a perfect fit the dining atmosphere. Besides that, we have wooden ice cream spoon and wooden coffee stirrer to be paired with other common cafe servings. Your choices define the personality of your eatery. Imagine space filled greenery and a menu that emphasises on eating healthy but also uses disposable plastic cutlery. A big no!
If you’re eyeing only for takeaway packaging, just drop the cutlery into the paper bags.
Speaking of paper bags, we have numerous options. These days, a cafe isn’t complete without offerings like pastries and deep-fried snacks. Just serve them with our food-grade 5S paper bag (5” x 8” v-bottom). Simple and sleek. Another food-grade option is the SOS6 paper bag (284 x 152 x 79mm), a firm favourite for any bakery-cum-cafe. This paper bag is commonly used to serve burgers, fries, sandwiches, buns, bread and soup bowls.
SOS8 and SOS10 paper bags are ideal for large item takeaways. SOS8 paper bag (337 x 203 x 114mm) is pretty identical to McDonald’s paper bag. The paper bag can fit in our biodegradable lunch box, paper lunch box, paper soup bowls, two burger boxes, our biodegradable lid and base set and more. SOS10 paper bag (411x254x133mm) offers extra space.
For a classier option with handle, opt for our paper bags with die-cut handle.
Hot Paper Cups
No food packaging for cafes and restaurants is complete without hot coffee cups. Our best-seller is 8oz double-wall hot coffee cup, available in both design and plain white. Meanwhile, for a bigger portion, opt for 12oz double-wall hot coffee cup. Black plastic lids are available and we’re on the lookout for eco-friendly ones.
Cold Paper Cups
Be it fresh juices to milkshakes, bubble tea to iced coffee and everything in between, we have a variety of cups to fit your purpose. Top choices are 16oz and 22oz paper cups are cafes tend to serve cold drinks in bigger cups. If you are hosting an event or catering service, opt for our 6oz or 9oz paper cup.
An eco-friendly solution to combat plastic straws. For normal beverage such as iced coffee and juices, our 6mm paper straws are a proper pick. 8mm orange stripes paper straws are also known as smoothie straws, while 12mm paper straw has to be paired for bubble tea or beverages loaded with chewy toppings.
Usually, after a hefty meal, cakes are packed back home. Our cake box is just what you need. Size: 4″ x 6″, while the height is approximately 3.5″. Perfect for a single large slice or two brownies and smaller cakes, or two to three muffins.
Serviettes and Napkins
