We visited this soul-warming tea garden and the experience was nothing but delightful.
Having made its way into the good books of all tourists in Cameron Highlands, we did not want to miss out on this renowned tea garden. Also, being a wooden spoon and ice cream cup supplier, it’s also nice to see these disposables in action.
Blankets of mist over undulating green hills were views that made our route to the tea garden exciting. Heading early in the morning is probably the best time as the rays of sunlight gently filter through the clouds. You feel pleasantly cold, yearning for a hot cup of tea. A cup? You might giggle in mind, it’s going to be a tea party up there!
The Most Memorable Viewing Deck Ever
If you love sceneries, you can never ask for a better place to be. Greeted by the scent of freshly baked pastries and tea, head inside the cafe, which extends to a majestic balcony. The never-ending stretch of lush tea plantations, the gush of cold air and moving clouds remain in your memory forever.
Hot Tea and Refreshing Ice Cream
Done taking in all the views, we went to the Tea Gift Shop, which is a wonderland for tea lovers. Apart from flavours, you see the packaging in all shapes and sizes. Further down was tea sampling sessions. With the sampling paper cups, we tried Green Tea Latte and Cham (White Coffee + Teh Tarik). The second drink was hot, aromatic and rich. So much so that, we got 2 packets home.
Another makeshift cart serves Gelato! The artisanal gelato is made with fresh ingredients and 9 flavours to choose from. We opted to skip tea flavours and got their Lemon & Mandarin Sorbet. With a pleasant citrusy punch and melt-in-your-mouth texture, it was delicious! And yes, it was served with our wooden ice cream spoon and ice cream cup. Ice cream cup supplier aside, it was a comfortable experience eating from the paper cup, with its firm base. The disposable spoon’s wrapper added a layer of hygiene.
Just like the rest of the visitors, we enjoyed the drinks and ice cream in a TV room which showed the history of BOH Tea Plantation. Many photos across the walkway also depict the plantation’s rich history and classic architecture that came with it.
To visit BOH Tea Center is to fall in love with it. Some say nature is the best therapy out there, and we couldn’t agree more. Add a variety of tea and it is a nod towards perfection.
We had a great time at the Tea Garden and so will you!
